Teledyne LeCroy DSC025 for current probe calibration source

Brand: Teledyne LeCroy

Origin: USA

10 ns static 1 5 V and 100 mA and 30, 150 and 500 A current probe dimensions and standard and high-sensitivity
Overview

DCS025 generates voltage and current pulses time-aligned for offset calibration, used for precise de-offsetting of voltage and current probes.

This is critical for measurements where tiny propagation delay differences between probes may significantly impact calculated measurements, such as instantaneous power semiconductor device loss measurements.

Main Features:

  • 10 ns signal fall time

  • Static skew of only 1 ns

  • 5 V and 100 mA time-aligned output signals

  • Loop sizes compatible with 30, 150, and 500 ampere current probes

  • Compatible with standard and high-sensitivity current probes

Easy to Use

Connect the voltage probe to the voltage pulse signal and ground connection, and the current probe around the current pulse loop.

Then, measure the propagation delay difference between the two probes, and the operator manually adjusts the offset calibration using the oscilloscope channel setup dialog box.

High Current Loop

DCS025 features a high-current loop compatible with Teledyne LeCroy small (e.g., CP03x) and large current probes (e.g., CP150, CP500).

Channel acquisition averaging allows measurement of output current amplitude using higher-ampere current probes.

Low Static Skew

DCS025 has an internal static skew of only 1 ns—well matched to the rise time of DCS025 and the probes typically used for power semiconductor device loss measurements.

Automatic Trigger Setup

DCS025 connects to the EXT input of the oscilloscope and outputs a trigger signal to simplify time-alignment and offset calibration operations for the signal fall time centered on the oscilloscope display.
