Overview

The HSDP2000 series has 2.54 mm (0.1 in, industry standard) input jacks and is compatible with various binding accessories on the market. The compact probe design and wide range of accessories make the HSDP2000 series suitable for testing the smallest IC components and circuits.

The controllable ±12 V input offset extends the probe’s dynamic measurement range to ±20 V. With an input impedance of 1 MΩ ||

All models are available with 7.5 m or 2 m cable lengths. The longer cable versions allow users to test remote and hard-to-reach measurement points that other measurement solutions on the market could not previously reach.

The HSDP2000 series has a universal BNC connector output and is compatible with any oscilloscope having 50 Ω input impedance or 1 MΩ input impedance and a 50 Ω feed-through termination, allowing the HSDP2000 series to be used with any oscilloscope in the laboratory.

Offset for the HSDP2000 series can be set via an external interface. The “PMK Probe Control” software provides users with the possibility of remotely controlling the probe via a computer and provides a graphical user interface. The software is provided free of charge and is supplied with the PMK power supplies PS-02 and PS-03, which are required to power the probe. The power supplies all have a USB interface, with an optional LAN interface. The 1-channel rechargeable battery power supply AP-01 enables self-contained and isolated operation for more than 8 hours, allowing users to flexibly deploy the probe in different locations. AP-01 only supplies power to the probe and does not provide software remote control.

The HSDP series low-voltage differential probes from PMK Germany, with high performance and flexible application scenarios, have become a common choice in communication systems, test equipment, and industrial control.

Key features:

1. High-frequency performance: 1.8 GHz to 4.0 GHz bandwidth

The HSDP low-voltage differential probe has a maximum bandwidth of 4.0 GHz and a minimum of 1.8 GHz. This means the probe can handle signals over a very wide frequency range and is suitable for high-frequency communication systems, RF test equipment, and industrial control scenarios requiring broadband support. Whether for 4G/5G communication system testing or high-precision RF measurement, the HSDP probe meets the requirements.

2. Wide voltage input range: ±8 V to ±42 V

The HSDP probe supports a differential voltage input range from ±8 V to ±42 V. This wide voltage range enables it to adapt to many different application scenarios. Whether for low-voltage signals or medium- and high-voltage signals, the probe can measure accurately, ensuring system stability and reliability.

3. High input impedance and low capacitance characteristics

The HSDP probe has a high input impedance of 1 MΩ and a low input capacitance of 0.6 pF, which effectively reduces interference with the input signal when connecting to high-impedance or high-speed signal sources. This characteristic is especially suitable for scenarios requiring high-precision measurement, such as signal testing and debugging in communication systems.

4. Low-noise performance: as low as 2 mV

The probe’s low-noise characteristic has a minimum value of 2 mV, ensuring that interference at the probe output is extremely small in high-frequency signal environments. This low-noise performance is critical for systems requiring high-precision signal processing, effectively reducing measurement error and improving overall system performance.

5. Common-mode input voltage: ±60 V

The HSDP probe supports a common-mode input voltage range of ±60 V. This high voltage range enables it to adapt to harsher industrial environments or high-voltage signal sources. Whether for high-voltage test equipment or control systems requiring interference immunity, the probe provides stable and reliable performance.

6. Differential DC offset: up to ±60 V

The probe’s differential DC offset range can reach up to ±60 V. This feature enables it to automatically adjust the output under different voltage environments, ensuring stable performance even in complex power-grid environments. In addition, this function also supports remote control, further increasing probe flexibility.

7. Remote control function: supported by PMK control software

PMK provides dedicated control software that allows users to remotely control the probe's output offset magnitude. This function is particularly suitable for application scenarios requiring automated operation or remote monitoring, such as industrial control systems or automated test equipment. Through software control, users can adjust probe parameters in real time, ensuring measurement accuracy and system stability.

8. High robustness: suitable for harsh environments

The HSDP probe has high robustness and can maintain stable performance under ±60 V voltage variations and in wideband environments. Its high-temperature tolerance, low-temperature tolerance, and interference immunity make it suitable for various complex environments, including industrial control, communication testing, and high-precision measurement.

The German PMK HSDP low-voltage differential probe, with its high-frequency performance, wide voltage range, high impedance and low capacitance characteristics, low-noise performance, and remote control function, is an important tool in modern communications and industrial fields. Whether for communication systems, RF testing, or industrial control, the HSDP probe provides high measurement and debugging performance, helping users achieve efficient and precise system design and operation.
