SKID® is a unique platform that meets various PCBA testing and debugging requirements within a single project.

It offers a modular design that allows users to expand SKID according to their needs.

The framework comes in three versions: SKIDS provides a clamping width of at least 160x160 mm, suitable for a 3U standard PCB form factor; SKID M is suitable for 6U cards; SKID L has a clamping width of 300x340 mm. Of course, smaller boards can also be tested. PCBA spacers can be positioned to clamp most geometries, even inconvenient non-standard shapes that are typically difficult to secure.

The PCBA is positioned 10 mm above the rack for ease of operation. SKID itself sits on a 90 mm base, allowing operation from both the top and bottom. The rack is surrounded by standard M6 threads for mounting equipment such as probe positioning devices, lights, or other accessories.

Depending on the configuration, SKID can be used for environmental testing in climate chambers, with a temperature range from -55 to 150°C.

SKID comes in three sizes. The S type is for 3U PCBs, M type for 6U PCBs, and L type for any PCBA larger than the 6U standard. Because the frame consists of only a few parts, SKID can be set up in one go. M6 threads run throughout the frame, allowing the installation of multiple accessories, such as testing equipment, lighting, magnifiers, and even cameras to record or stream video, such as thermal images. SKID's low center of gravity allows installation of even larger and heavier equipment.

The release lever of SKID is designed for one-handed use and smooth, stepless sliding. PTFE sliders provide smooth movement across the frame surface.

Additionally, SKID uses PCBA spacers made of PTFE, allowing users to clamp PCBAs in various positions. Another benefit is that the spacers provide a 10 mm gap, positioning the PCBA above the frame and providing some extra space.
