Other high-speed serial interfaces
The Teledyne LeCroy DH series 8 to 30 GHz differential probes provide a combination of bandwidth, input range, and offset capability to meet any high-speed probing requirement, from debugging serial data interfaces to validating DDR memory systems. The DH series probes provide favorable loading characteristics and are calibrated with a custom “fine-tuned” frequency response. Ultra-low loading and flat frequency response ensure accurate measurements.
Two 30 GHz solder-in tips let you select a 3.5 Vpp input range for general-purpose applications, or high sensitivity with exceptionally low noise. Also available are a 1 m long 16 GHz high-temperature solder-in tip, a 16 GHz browser tip, and a QuickLink adapter for connecting mixed-signal probe tips. The same solder-in, high-temperature, and QuickLink tips are compatible with all DH series probes and can be interchanged among any probes in the series, for maximum flexibility in the laboratory. Each tip contains its own identification and calibration data for accurate signal reproduction and excellent ease of use.
The 30 GHz DH series solder-in tips are very compact, facilitating access to signals on densely packed boards, and a 9-inch lead length helps reach hard-to-probe locations. The standard DH-SI solder-in tip has a 3.5 Vpp input range and is well suited for DDR memory and other general-purpose high-speed serial signal applications. For smaller signals where noise performance is critical, the DH-SI-HS high-sensitivity solder-in tip has a 2.0 Vpp input range and excellent noise performance.
For tests that require placing equipment in an environmental test chamber, the DH-HITEMP head allows the solder-in probe tip to be separated from the probe amplifier by up to 1 m. The head has 16 GHz bandwidth, a 3.5 Vpp input range, and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, making it well suited for environmental testing of various high-speed devices.
Where fast access to multiple test points is critical, the DH-PT browser head provides 16 GHz bandwidth in a convenient “pencil” form factor. The included free-hand probe holder enables simple hands-free browsing.
CrossSync PHY technology enables waveforms from Teledyne LeCroy oscilloscopes to be displayed simultaneously with protocol analyzer traces, achieving complete time correlation of electrical and protocol information. Through a series of interposers supporting CrossSync PHY, using special DH-CSPHY probe tips, DH series probes can be connected directly to high-speed signal lines.
The DH-QL adapter allows QuickLink solder-in probe tips to be used with any DH series probe. For embedded system validation and debugging, these probes can be used for analog probing with DH series probes and for digital acquisition with the HDA125 high-speed digital analyzer.
Mixed-signal flexibility
When connected to a Teledyne LeCroy analog differential probe, QuickLink probes provide 8 GHz bandwidth and a flat, well-controlled frequency response. When used with the HDA125 for digital acquisition, they support 3 GHz bandwidth with industry-leading sensitivity. The HDA125 can acquire and analyze DDR command bus signals and other high-speed digital bus signals directly on standard oscilloscope channels together with time-correlated analog signals.
