PEM CWT LF low-frequency Rogowski coil current transformer (60 A-300kA)

Brand: PEM

Origin: UK

Isolated Current Probe. Detailed specifications are available in the product datasheet.
Overview

CWT LF low-frequency Roche coil series focuses on expanding the low-frequency measurement range, effectively filling the gap in low-frequency measurement in the CWT standard series. Like other CWT series, the CWT LF is a wideband probe with high-frequency bandwidth in the MHz range. The extended low-frequency range of the CWT LF is especially suitable for measurements such as longer duration current pulses—such as electrolytic capacitor discharge or asymmetric short circuit testing.

    CWT LF main performance parameters:

  • peak current: 60A - 300kA peak

  • output: ±6.0V (full scale).

  • high-frequency bandwidth (-3dB): 6.5MHz

  • low-frequency bandwidth (-3dB): 0.008Hz

  •  Accuracy (Typical Value): Coil center position up to ±0.2

  • % Operating temperature range: 0°C to +40°C (integrator); –20°C to +100°C (coil + lead)

  • coil length: 300, 500, 700, 1000mm (customizable lengths)

  • coil insulation: 10kV peak

  • coil diameter: 8.5mm

  • lead length: 2.5 or 4m (customizable length)

  • power supply: AA battery or 12V DC power adapter

    CWT LF main Key features:

  • Traceable calibration data (including certificates)

  • Non-contact measurement has no effect on the circuit under test

  • no magnetic material means excellent linearity

  • completely isolates DC current, allowing testing of small ripple currents

  • on large DC currents overcurrent does not damage

Differences between CWT LF and LFR:

  • higher rated power Stream

  • produces better phase error (higher cutoff frequency in MHz) within a few kHz

  • range
  • delivers better low-frequency performance at > 3000A

  • Power Electronics Applications - High-Power Rectifiers, Electrolytic Capacitor Discharge and Braking Choppers

  • CWT LF series can measure large currents with frequencies even below 1Hz, PWM waveforms, and single pulses with ON durations of several milliseconds or longer durations.

  • Unlike current transformers or other magnetic-based sensors, Rogowski coils
