PROBEMART offers GMW CPCO/CPC clamp-on (split-core) Hall-effect current sensors that can measure DC–50 kHz, 0–16000 A AC/DC current, with an overall measurement accuracy of 1%. They are mainly used for current testing of electric vehicles, motors, photovoltaic inverters, variable-frequency drives, battery charging/discharging, electromagnetic actuators, etc. They can generally be used with various power analyzers, recorders, data acquisition units, and oscilloscopes for testing.

Hall current transformers measure the DC component based on the magnetic-balance Hall-effect principle and the AC component based on the magnetic induction principle: a current C is applied to the control current terminals of the Hall element, and a magnetic field with magnetic flux density B is applied in the direction normal to the plane of the Hall element; then, perpendicular to the current and the magnetic field (i.e., between the Hall output terminals), an electric potential VH is generated, called the Hall voltage, whose magnitude is proportional to the control current. Hall current probes are particularly suitable for high-precision AC+DC measurement scenarios.
