Passive Broadband Voltage Probe
Low noise, high linearity, and purely passive implementation make the passive broadband probe an economical solution for measuring controlled impedance lines.
The compact design facilitates measurements on densely packed printed circuit boards.
An Economical Alternative for Controlled Impedance Line Measurements
For measuring high-speed signals on low-impedance lines, passive broadband probes are an economical yet powerful alternative to active probes.
Compared with active probes, they have lower input impedance but remain practically constant across the entire frequency range. They feature extremely low input capacitance and particularly low noise.
Their purely passive design provides high linearity, making them ideal for spectrum analysis applications.
The R&S®RT-ZZ 80 8 GHz probe offers a 10:1 attenuation characteristic with an input impedance of 500 Ω and 0.3 µF.
Its SMA connector connects to the oscillator via the supplied SMA-NSO adapter.
The probe can be easily selected as a predefined probe from the R&S RTO oscilloscope menu.
With these simple steps, the instrument is correctly configured.
