Company Overview
Bergoz Instrumentation, located in Saint-Genis-Pouilly in the French Jura near CERN, manufactures precision beam-instrumentation and current-measurement devices. Its current transformers and DC current transducers are used in the world's leading particle accelerators and, increasingly, in industrial systems where absolute current accuracy over long periods is essential.
History
The company grew out of instrumentation work for high-energy physics, where beam-current monitors must measure from microamperes to kiloamperes with metrological certainty. Bergoz developed current transformers (CT), zero-flux DC current transducers (DCCT) and integrated current transformers (ICT) that have been installed in accelerators and photon-source facilities on several continents, accumulating decades of field data in demanding radiation and stability environments.
Strengths
Bergoz products are defined by metrological rigour: carefully specified linearity, low drift, radiation tolerance and documented calibration. The zero-flux transducers achieve very high DC accuracy, while the ICT family provides pulse-current fidelity that also serves precision magnet and superconducting-magnet testing. Engineering support comes directly from the people who design the instruments.
Product Portfolio
- CT — wideband current transformers for pulsed beam and general pulsed-current measurement
- ICT — integrated current transformers with exceptional pulse fidelity
- DCCT — zero-flux DC current transducers for high-accuracy DC measurement
- NPCT/ MBP and other beam-position and bunch-related instrumentation
Industrial customers apply Bergoz transducers wherever current stability and traceability matter, from superconducting magnet test stands to synchrotron light sources.
