Company Overview
SENIS, headquartered in Switzerland, is a specialist in magnetic field measurement. Its 3-axis Hall probes, magnetometers and magnetic camera systems are used for precision field mapping in magnets, sensors, electric machines and current-measurement assemblies where field distribution matters.
History
Arising from semiconductor Hall-sensor research in Switzerland, SENIS commercialised integrated 3-axis Hall probes in which three orthogonal sensing elements share a single tiny volume — eliminating the positioning error of stacked sensors. That innovation enabled accurate field-vector measurement in confined spaces such as magnet gaps and around conductors, and the company extended it into automated mapping systems.
Strengths
SENIS offers genuine 3D field measurement with high spatial resolution, wide dynamic range and temperature-compensated accuracy. Probes are calibrated individually, and the magnetic camera systems turn point measurements into field maps, making them valuable for magnet quality control, sensor design and analysis of stray fields around high-current busbars.
Product Portfolio
- 3-axis Hall probes and teslameters (low-field to multi-tesla ranges)
- Magnetic field cameras and automated mapping systems
- Current transducers based on magnetic field sensing
- Calibration services and custom probe designs
For power-electronics engineers, SENIS instruments help quantify the fields that generate errors in current sensors and induce noise in nearby signal paths.
