History

Founded in 1946, Tektronix pioneered the triggered oscilloscope and went on to lead successive generations of measurement technology — from analogue CRT instruments to digital phosphor oscilloscopes and today's multi-terahertz sampling systems. The company's probe engineering (passive Probes, differential probes such as the TDP/THDP families and isolated probes) has repeatedly set standards for fidelity at the measurement point, which is decisive when characterising fast-switching SiC and GaN devices.
