From its base in Hampshire, UK, N4L supplies automotive, aerospace, battery and power-electronics laboratories worldwide, and has built a reputation for instruments that combine laboratory-grade accuracy with unusually good usability.

History

N4L was founded in 2004 by engineers with deep experience in frequency response analysers. The company's early PSM series frequency response analysers quickly found favour in electrochemistry and materials testing. Subsequent product generations extended the range into gain-phase analysis for control loops, battery impedance spectroscopy, and power analyser accessories, establishing N4L as a credible alternative to much larger brands in several niche markets.

Strengths

N4L focuses on measurement physics rather than feature bloat. Its analysers offer wide swept-frequency ranges, excellent low-frequency resolution and direct impedance results computed on the instrument. The company is also responsive to special requirements: options such as galvanically isolated inputs, high-current measurement ranges and custom firmware are realistic rather than exceptional.
